Buying a new home can be an exciting, rewarding experience- if you know what it is you want and need. When you consider all it is that you are looking for (location, size and specific features), the buying process becomes easy and fun!
When purchasing a home for the first time, the following questions to ask yourself may be an invaluable tool in helping you make the right decision.
What community better suits my lifestyle? The age of the neighborhood, the style of construction, recreational facilities and proximity to schools and shopping are all important factors to be considered. Compare several different communities to determine which is right for you.
How do I select the right homesite? Once you have decided on your community, the specific building site can be just as important. Do you prefer a corner lot, a cul-de-sac, or one near the main entrance? Your Landmark sales representative will help you decide which building site is the better choice to suite your needs.
How do I decide on a floor plan? Most important in this decision will be how much space you need. 3 Bedrooms, 4- perhaps more- 3 Baths, 2 , or 3? What room sizes do you prefer? Also consider the exterior elevation. The look and home style that will better suit your personality.
How does the closing process work? The closing of your new home is the last step in the home buying process. Once your home is complete, final walk through has been done, and closing documents received from your mortgage company, a closing date and time will be scheduled. The attorneys office will inform you of the exact amount of money to bring with you and go over all your closing documents. You will need a cashiers check or certifies funds for your closing. Lastly, you will receive your title and keys to your new home.
